EMA Construction recently completed a job for Citygate Church in Lebanon, Ohio. This church building is primarily painted brick and it had some stone in the door entryway and over the front entrance. We replaced the stone with new cedar siding and the results speak for themselves.
Here you can see the before and after of the main entrance, in which stone was replaced with a beautiful cedar design.

In these photos, you can see how the warmth of the natural wood stands out while enhancing the contrast with the blue/gray paint. Below you can see this door with its stone before compared to the cedar siding afterward:
Cedar siding is an environmentally friendly choice for siding as it is renewable, reclaimable, and biodegradable. It is versatile as it can be painted, stained, or sealed to suit your preferences but in this job, it is left to display its natural beauty. Left untreated it can develop a one-of-a-kind rustic look. It also takes stain very well which can enhance its natural texture. Cedar can be applied in various styles and cuts to give you the look you’re going for with your home or business.
While many other types of wood can warp over time, cedar is resistant to swelling, cupping, and cracking. Other benefits of cedar siding include its durability, insect-repellant qualities, and natural protection from moisture, UV rays, and insect damage. Cedar siding also has an inherent aroma that is appealing in its own way. The cost of cedar siding is comparable to fiber siding and premium vinyl siding. Many homeowners and businesses enjoy the curbside appeal from cedar siding. It can add a touch of warmth and added texture to any building.
