We recently completed this project in Clarksville, OH area. This required the removal of vinyl shake siding. In the gables, we installed new James Hardie board and batten and shake siding in the beautiful Aged Pewter color with Cobblestone soffit and trim. We also installed new 6-inch gutters and 4-inch downspouts in dark bronze. Finally, we built custom cedar shutters with a new beadboard porch ceiling.

Recently we had the pleasure of helping a homeowner transform their home’s appearance. As you’ll see in the video, the house had old wooden siding that was completely worn out. The owner said that he had never been happy with the appearance of his home and was tired of the maintenance that old wood siding required. EMA consulted with him and his wife on the design of their home and agreed that James Hardie siding could give his home the design that they envisioned while keeping a low-maintenance lifestyle.

Their home is now reminiscent of a northeastern property, which they have always admired. In the video, you’ll see a lot of before-and-after footage as well as hear directly from the customer about their experience working with EMA Construction.

Why did you select EMA?

The most important thing is that they listened to what we wanted to accomplish. Instead of bringing us a good, better, and best. Our question to him was, “what does it take to do this job right?” And they gave us that answer.

Describe the results you achieved.

Our house is gorgeous. It is everything that I ever dreamed of and I never thought that I would ever have the house that I knew I would be in for the rest of my life, but I do. And I’m never going to have to touch it ever again because of the work that has been done to it and the new siding from James Hardie. I’m so pleased with it and how beautiful it is.

What do you like most about the result?

The best thing about the results is that anybody that comes over here…it’s just simply unforgettable, it is such an amazing build and a re-imagination of the entire home.

Was it worth the investment?

Absolutely it was worth the investment! I mean, to take a house that was almost literally falling apart on the outside and turn it into a beautiful paradise. It is my dream home now and before it wasn’t even close.

Would you recommend EMA Construction to your friends and family?

Definitely. One of the things that I love about these guys is that they worked so hard and took the stuff that they were doing very seriously. One of the funny things that my father-in-law said was, “you know they did a good job when you’re not fighting with your contractor at the end of the project.” We definitely weren’t! We were extremely pleased and happy that we had the guys that we had and the results show it.

Anyone considering new siding has likely heard of James Hardie. It is known for its beauty and durability, but also it’s cost.
